As an expat holding different currencies, earning freelance income, investing, and following elements of the FIRE movement, I found myself losing track of my finances.
When I looked at existing personal finance apps, I found that they were often very US-focused, did not deal well with multiple currencies or third-party money transfers. So I ended up using spreadsheets to keep track of everything.
However, I realized that every time I wanted to update my data, I was spending time updating exchange rates, checking stock prices, and manually going through accounts. The engineer in me kept nagging me that there had to be a better way.
That is why I built wealthbase: a private dashboard and insight platform for your financial life designed to help you understand your finances, across accounts, assets, liabilities, currencies, and investments.
